After 4 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Tafalla. Hunor Csapó made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Pascual Carballar sent off a good shot on target. In the 10th minute, Kiko Pirani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luis Cazalla kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Kiko Pirani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ionică Buculeasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Orhan Ortanca kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 18th minute of the match Axel Montenegro shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hunor Csapó showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kiko Pirani in the 22nd minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Buffalo Timişoara's Ionică Buculeasa in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Buffalo Timişoara's Arnulfo Marino was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pedro Manzanares in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Arnulfo Marino fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buffalo Timişoara's protests and gave Arnulfo Marino a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes Buffalo Timişoara got a freekick which was hit by Arnulfo Marino. In the 26th minute of the match, Axel Montenegro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hunor Csapó was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 28th minute, Kiko Pirani left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Buffalo Timişoara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Hunor Csapó didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Santino Seco went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Hunor Csapó made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pascual Carballar in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Kiko Pirani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buffalo Timişoara's supporters rose to their feet, but Kiko Pirani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Manzanares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Hunor Csapó in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ionică Buculeasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Axel Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Montenegro in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hunor Csapó saved Buffalo Timişoara from getting behind. 70 minutes into the game, Buffalo Timişoara's Kiko Pirani nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. Buffalo Timişoara made a substitution. Vali Voicescu replaced Orhan Ortanca. Buffalo Timişoara's Bogdan Noworolnik was substituted for Ionică Buculeasa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Secada in the 82nd minute of play forced Buffalo Timişoara's goalkeeper Hunor Csapó to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hunor Csapó showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Secada in the 82nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Mastache in the 83rd minute of play forced Buffalo Timişoara's goalkeeper Hunor Csapó to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abram Secada blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hunor Csapó having to make a save. Hunor Csapó made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abram Secada in the 92nd minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Buffalo Timişoara's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Secada came free, but Hunor Csapó reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
