After a rather tough play, Colombia's Kevin Mastache got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Robby Woody struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Academia. Iwan Grocholski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Mastache in the 6th minute of the match. After 9 minutes, Robby Woody made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Robby Woody received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Colombia's Axel Montenegro in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Academia's goalie prevented a goal. After 15 minutes La Academia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Axel Montenegro who took care of the corner kick. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gong Peng Bo in the 17th minute. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. La Academia's Iwan Grocholski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 18th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Orlando Tafalla got a free kick in the 19th minute. With an all-out effort, La Academia's Pedro Manzanares threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lalo Salamanca, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 26 minutes into the match, La Academia's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Montenegro came free, but Iwan Grocholski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iwan Grocholski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 31st minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Alberto Zañartu came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Mastache in the 37th minute of play forced La Academia's goalkeeper Iwan Grocholski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Colombia's Abram Sarmiento sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iwan Grocholski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, La Academia's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Mastache came free, but Iwan Grocholski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Colombia's Axel Montenegro to fire away a dangerous shot which Iwan Grocholski despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Robby Woody to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abram Sarmiento in the 50th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iwan Grocholski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Colombia's Abram Sarmiento managed to work through La Academia's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Abram Sarmiento dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 58th minute of play forced La Academia's goalkeeper Iwan Grocholski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Axel Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Iwan Grocholski made a huge save. Orlando Tafalla hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. La Academia's Eric Sillén was substituted for Gong Peng Bo. In the 65th minute, Orlando Tafalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maxín Bacarreza took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 67thth minute of the game Abram Sarmiento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Academia's Iwan Grocholski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. La Academia's Maxín Bacarreza was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pedro Manzanares in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 75th minute of the game Hugo Porta made a throw-in which Eric Sillén played forward. Iwan Grocholski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santino Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iwan Grocholski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 84th minute of the match. A throw-in in the 88th minute of the game was made by Aaron Mazuste with Robby Woody as target, who quickly passed the ball forward.
