Jax Williamson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İsrafil Yağız, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 15 minutes into the match, FK Mintis Vilnius's goalkeeper Mustafa Kemal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luka Harris. In the 16th minute Canada were awarded a corner. Koby Wright went to the cornerflag to take it. Jax Williamson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İsrafil Yağız, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the game, Grant Pustak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FK Mintis Vilnius's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canada the free kick. The supporters of Canada booed when FK Mintis Vilnius was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grant Pustak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jax Williamson came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by FK Mintis Vilnius's İsrafil Yağız. But to his dismay, İsrafil Yağız quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. FK Mintis Vilnius's Mustafa Kemal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Koby Wright in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute Koby Wright shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mustafa Kemal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mustafa Kemal came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Canada's Koby Wright. But to his dismay, Koby Wright quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Richard Mccarthy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute of the match, Carter George tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Mustafa Kemal saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. İsrafil Yağız was the one to do the kick off. Carter George kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Jan Dixon took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mustafa Kemal. Mustafa Kemal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Jan Dixon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mustafa Kemal having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan Dixon in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mustafa Kemal saved FK Mintis Vilnius from getting behind. 65 minutes into the match, FK Mintis Vilnius's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Dixon came free, but Mustafa Kemal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Edwards in the 67th minute of play forced FK Mintis Vilnius's goalkeeper Mustafa Kemal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 73 played minutes FK Mintis Vilnius got a freekick which was hit by Amado Guterres. In the 78th minute, Grant Pustak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jan Dixon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute İsrafil Yağız shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jax Williamson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jax Williamson was a little too slow when Tomas Danilevičius got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 2-2. Mustafa Kemal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filip Edwards's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. FK Mintis Vilnius's Mustafa Kemal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Mccarthy in the 95th minute of play. Canada were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
