In the 4th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. 5 minutes into the match, Liberland's Enrique Nikola broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. Rene Eduino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rene Eduino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Enrique Nikola sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 43rd minute, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jonathan Venegas the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Venezuela protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jonathan Venegas had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 44th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Venegas to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Saturnino Abeitia to strike the kick off in the second half. When Damaso Francho came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Liberland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damaso Francho couldn't finish the play. Rene Eduino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Saturnino Abeitia scored 2-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Liberland made a substitution. Omar Eudoxio replaced German Playo. After 82 minutes, Guillermo Mariano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Liberland players grew even worse after the yellow card. Liberland's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
