The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Berat Tecer came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jonathan Venegas the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Venezuela protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jonathan Venegas had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Jonathan Ferrant had in the 13thth minute some difficulties stopping Santos Rio's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Santos Rio scored 2-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Berat Tecer sent off a good shot on target. If Berat Tecer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Salvador Gisbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Berat Tecer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Bora18's Berat Tecer got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Bora18 getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Marcos Ugaitz hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berat Tecer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patricio Costa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Berat Tecer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Berat Tecer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Bora18's Eugenio Urbes got control of the ball when Jose Correa tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 59 minutes, Berat Tecer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bora18's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berat Tecer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Berat Tecer came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Bora18 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Berat Tecer couldn't finish the play. In the 62nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute, Berat Tecer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Bora18 getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Gualterio Guerrero hit a great ball. In the 85th minute, Marcos Ugaitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berat Tecer in the 89th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Berat Tecer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patricio Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patricio Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, Berat Tecer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Bora18 were victorious despite being under pressure from Venezuela for much of the match.
