Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Luca Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 8th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Régis de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kléberson Neiva in the 9th minute of play. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Régis de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Régis de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Iustin Bungeanu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 23 played minutes Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Donato. Régis de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 27th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luke Clist in the 29th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iustin Bungeanu got free with Dante Lacasa in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leonardo Donato kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Tafalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Régis de Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Régis de Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Tafalla went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Alberto Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Régis de Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. In the 45th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Régis de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Palmeiras's Dante Lacasa threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leonardo Donato, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The Palmeiras players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luke Clist to make the kick off. After 59 minutes of play, Palmeiras's Iustin Bungeanu made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 62nd match minute, Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waldemar Jacinto to maneuver through the defense. Palmeiras made a substitution. José Carlos Simões replaced Iustin Bungeanu. The supporters of Mexico booed when Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldemar Jacinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Palmeiras's Régis de Queirós proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Palmeiras from getting a goal against them. Lautaro Mancebo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Régis de Queirós firmly grabbed it by the left post. Régis de Queirós made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carlos Simões in the 75th minute of the match. After 76 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Rouco. Felix Luque hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luke Clist in the 84th minute of play. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Régis de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luke Clist, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 92nd minute of play forced Palmeiras's goalkeeper Régis de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
