After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 6th minute. After 7 minutes of play, El Gallo's Tiberiu Iordan made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 14 minutes, Marcial Abancens made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Tiaguinho Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 19 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcelo Honesto succeeded in the game's 34th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Tiaguinho Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiaguinho Soeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. The supporters of Venezuela booed when El Gallo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Tohias didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiaguinho Soeiro having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Osmundo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. El Gallo were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
