With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luis Alberto Moura in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joaquin Gayoso saved Uruguay from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Luis Alberto Moura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. In the 6th minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arsenio Manni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Laus Deo's Arsenio Manni. Arsenio Manni was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 13 played minutes Laus Deo got a freekick which was hit by Luis Alberto Moura. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Arsenio Manni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arsenio Manni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alberto Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Timur Belyaninov during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Laus Deo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timur Belyaninov to maneuver through the defense. Luis Alberto Moura scored 1-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Luis Alberto Moura sent off a good shot on target. After 46 minutes, Evaristo Cerezo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laus Deo and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Laus Deo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Cerezo didn't get a good kick on the ball.

With a little luck, Laus Deo's Arsenio Manni got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maximiliano Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arsenio Manni stood somewhat misplaced when Maximiliano Escribano came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 55 minute. Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Laus Deo made a substitution. Michel de Alcântara replaced Peder Mellingen. With his leg Arsenio Manni managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Uruguay's Francisco Seco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Alberto Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Arsenio Manni in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 72 played minutes Laus Deo got a freekick which was hit by Timur Belyaninov. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Arsenio Manni in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luis Alberto Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximiliano Escribano got free with Arsenio Manni in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Alberto Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Arsenio Manni came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Francisco Seco. But to his dismay, Francisco Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. When the final whistle sounded Uruguay left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Laus Deo.
