Tomas Berganza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Arsenio Manni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gildo Tande in the 9th minute of the match. Aaron Barrios kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timur Belyaninov, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Arsenio Manni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 12th minute of play. Kong Ping scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Cotilla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the last second Arsenio Manni throw himself and got hold of the ball when Tomas Berganza in the 17thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 21st minute Luis Alberto Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Grzegorz Roman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 30 played minutes Laus Deo got a freekick which was hit by Cacá Diniz. 43 minutes into the match, Laus Deo's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Arsenio Manni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abraham Alguacil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Abraham Alguacil came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abraham Alguacil couldn't finish the play.

After 51 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ros. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arsenio Manni having to interfere. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Cotilla was a little too slow when Cacá Diniz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 0-3. Laus Deo made a substitution. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cacá Diniz got free with Marcos Cotilla in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 72nd minute of play forced Laus Deo's goalkeeper Arsenio Manni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. 79 minutes into the match, Laus Deo's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Alguacil came free, but Arsenio Manni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Panama's Marcos Cotilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Panama from getting a goal against them. Tomas Berganza scored 1-3 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arsenio Manni, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Laus Deo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Laus Deo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
