Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rhys Hughes in the 33rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 38th minute, which Joar Frisck however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelillo Di Maria in the 40th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rhys Hughes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Odd Ball hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelillo Di Maria in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Andreas Hernaiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After 56 played minutes FC NORDLAND got a freekick which was hit by Benno Betancor. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when FC NORDLAND's Angelillo Di Maria fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Angelillo Di Maria tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rhys Hughes in the 66th minute of play. Joar Frisck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC NORDLAND's Joar Frisck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 72nd minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joar Frisck. FC NORDLAND's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. FC NORDLAND's Ervin Frk was substituted for Rhys Hughes. Birger Benett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joar Frisck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Birger Benett who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 87 minutes into the match, Andreas Hernaiz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 1-1. A collision led to FC NORDLAND getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Christof Mehlbaum hit a great ball. 92 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ervin Frk. In the 94th minute of the match FC NORDLAND got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alex Hernaiz ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led FC NORDLAND's Alex Hernaiz to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. FC NORDLAND's Angelillo Di Maria got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
