Grzegorz Jajecznica made a great header on Goral Zywiec's corner, it was just that USA's Marco Day managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 45th match minute, Goral Zywiec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariusz Zalipski to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Alfred Ewertowski fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goral Zywiec's protests and gave Alfred Ewertowski a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Goral Zywiec getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Alfred Ewertowski hit a great ball. USA's Sam Campbell was substituted for Cassius Byrne. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zygmunt Budrewicz in the 70th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roman Makomaski in the 75th minute of play. Michael Krawczyk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sam Campbell in the 77th minute. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. Zygmunt Budrewicz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marco Day came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Goral Zywiec's Tobias Abechuco. But to his dismay, Tobias Abechuco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 88 minutes into the game, Sam Campbell recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Michael Krawczyk. Sam Campbell showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
