In the 16th minute Rodrigo Palacio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 19th minute. Camilo Gaos tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Jonathan Ferrant. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-0 in the 22nd minute. Agustín Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Cisco in the 35th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Agustín Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. A collision led to Frontera AFC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Luis Advíncula hit a great ball.
