Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franco Di Santo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentín Carvallo hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Lautaro Navarro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximiliano Celio in the 10th minute. In the 14th match minute, Racing Comunicaciones was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Krzysztof Rutkowski to maneuver through the defense. If Sebastian Villa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laureano Belasko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute of the match Honduras got a corner. Racing Comunicaciones's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edmundo Espiga ran over to the corner to take the kick. 24 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Franco Di Santo. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Ivan Navarro got a free kick in the 24th minute. Lautaro Navarro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jeremias Steven showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 25 minute of play. Racing Comunicaciones's Maximiliano Celio got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Laureano Belasko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Laureano Belasko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 33rd minute of play. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Jimeno Eate sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Espiga was the one to do the kick off. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Radomil Hodyl fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Racing Comunicaciones's protests and gave Radomil Hodyl a yellow card for diving instead. 71 minutes into the match, Edmundo Espiga dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Laureano Belasko, 1-1. Edmundo Espiga had several of the Racing Comunicaciones's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 80 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Laureano Belasko as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of Racing Comunicaciones booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Espinar didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Steven came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Radomil Hodyl kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Espiga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laureano Belasko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 90 minutes into the game, Franco Di Santo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Racing Comunicaciones's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. Franco Di Santo kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The Racing Comunicaciones fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Honduras were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
