Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in AC 1986 Vinalito's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richmond De Worteleere came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodrigo Jax in the 10th minute. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Richmond De Worteleere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Frances in the 18th minute of play. After having played for 25 minutes, Raimundo Guerau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC 1986 Vinalito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raimundo Guerau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Bruno Abeita took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. 39 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno Abeita. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Richmond De Worteleere tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Raimundo Guerau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Marcin Wietrzychowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC 1986 Vinalito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The supporters of Ecuador booed when AC 1986 Vinalito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcin Wietrzychowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Abeita in the 56th minute of play. Eliseo Frances sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, Ecuador's Antonio Arias seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Antonio Arias the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ecuador protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Antonio Arias had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of Ecuador:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AC 1986 Vinalito:s goal.
