The audience thought a goal was coming when Saturnino Astigar got free with Dante Lacasa in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Saturnino Astigar in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Gallo Moron's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Eugenio Fidensio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodolfo Schiavi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. The Gallo Moron fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Gallo Moron's Eugenio Fidensio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Gallo Moron from getting a goal against them. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Astigar in the 87th minute of play. Gino Peruzzi's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gino Peruzzi helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Mexico booed when Gallo Moron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gino Peruzzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eugenio Fidensio made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Farias, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
