Emanuel Mogel struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quebrachitos FC. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Tomas Illescas sped through Quebrachitos FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Oscar Ekhi. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Quebrachitos FC's Emanuel Mogel. But to his dismay, Emanuel Mogel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 13 minutes into the game, Alex Chicote was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quebrachitos FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 17th minute Quebrachitos FC were awarded a corner. Celestino Pes went to the cornerflag to take it. Aníbal Barca might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aníbal Barca ran back to his position shaking his head. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. 24 minutes into the match, Quebrachitos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Oscar Ekhi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emanuel Mogel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 34th minute, Emanuel Mogel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. A sloppy throw-in by Salvador Gisbert in the 38th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Quebrachitos FC's Kupati Jebe. 40 minutes into the match, Quebrachitos FC's Emanuel Mogel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oscar Ekhi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Oscar Ekhi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After 43 played minutes Quebrachitos FC got a freekick which was hit by Geronimo Fernendo. Anacleto Sendoa's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anacleto Sendoa helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Quebrachitos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anacleto Sendoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oscar Ekhi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Patricio Costa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 54 minute of play. If Emanuel Mogel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Mogel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the match, Emanuel Mogel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emanuel Mogel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. After a defensive mix-up in Quebrachitos FC's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Ekhi came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Oscar Ekhi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. One of Venezuela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Quebrachitos FC:s goal. Kupati Jebe kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. During the 81st minute of the match Anacleto Sendoa completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Anacleto Sendoa a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 82nd match minute, Quebrachitos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anacleto Sendoa to maneuver through the defense. Tomas Illescas charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Illescas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oscar Ekhi made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Quebrachitos FC's Kupati Jebe managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Salvador Gisbert in the 96 minute of the game. After 99 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. The Quebrachitos FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
