Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Celio in the 11th minute of play. One of Costa Rica:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Racing Comunicaciones:s goal. Costa Rica:s Benito Sanz showed great skill when he stopped Radomil Hodyl:s penalty. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Celio in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Racing Comunicaciones's Franco Di Santo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 34th match minute, Racing Comunicaciones was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfredo Emmanuel to maneuver through the defense. 41 minutes into the match, Jeremias Steven notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lautaro Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laureano Belasko having to interfere. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Celio in the 88th minute of play. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Radomil Hodyl went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. The supporters of Racing Comunicaciones booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Racing Comunicaciones could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Costa Rica throughout the match.
