Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Allan Shearer started the match with the kick off. After 4 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cédric Payen who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Minerul Baita -MM-'s corner Cédric Payen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nistor Maghiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Allan Shearer in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 11 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nistor Maghiar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Allan Shearer in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After 17 minutes, Allan Shearer made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Ciprian Alexe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Minerul Baita -MM-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Ciprian Alexe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nistor Maghiar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nistor Maghiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 39th minute of play. Nistor Maghiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 49th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Minerul Baita -MM-'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nistor Maghiar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.

After 60 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nistor Maghiar was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Cédric Payen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nistor Maghiar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 65th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Shearer came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Allan Shearer's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. After having played for 74 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rareș Comișel hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Minerul Baita -MM-'s Ionuț Vasiliu was substituted for Gordon Miner. Nistor Maghiar came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Minerul Baita -MM- made a substitution. Felix Ferenț replaced Cédric Payen. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Shearer in the 96th minute of the match. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Minerul Baita -MM- throughout the match.
