After having played for 4 minutes, Luz Tejedor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luz Tejedor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 15 minutes into the game, when Anthony Alvarado put in a rough tackle. After 14 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Peru! The goalkeeper, Rolando Noboa, was totally fooled by Diablos Rojos's Thomás Vollmar, who 16 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 1-1 came in the 20th minute when Eliseo Mina all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Remus Pinches. Remus Pinches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luz Tejedor, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mina in the 37th minute of play forced Diablos Rojos's goalkeeper Remus Pinches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Diablos Rojos's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remus Pinches having to interfere. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 唐沙旭 in the 45th minute of the match. Rene Sampedro kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remus Pinches having to interfere. If 唐沙旭 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 唐沙旭, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomás Vollmar in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by 唐沙旭 in the 86th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomás Vollmar in the 88th minute of play. A collision led to Diablos Rojos getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Rene Sampedro hit a great ball. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. 93 minutes in the game Raphael Vidal did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Xu Guang Peng. Antonio Tenorio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 95thth minute, Remus Pinches skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
