After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Doni Dracena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 56th minute. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Gwidon Palzewicz came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doni Dracena having to interfere. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Turo Heinikallio in the 65th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Adilson Matorin came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gwidon Palzewicz in the 68th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Turo Heinikallio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Turo Heinikallio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Doni Dracena made a huge save. A collision led to Minsk Wildcats getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Humberto Balendin hit a great ball. In the 91st match minute, Minsk Wildcats was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Balendin to maneuver through the defense. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
