Honduras's Christian Sancho managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ruperto Licerio in the 91 minute of the game. 92 minutes into the game, Real Racing Club's Su Yuan Yu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lautaro Navarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Luca Espinar charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luca Espinar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Honduras! Real Racing Club's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
