The supporters of Talleres booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauricio Manuelo scored 0-2 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Talleres's 王竞耀 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Talleres from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauricio Manuelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes in the game Aldo Gonza did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Peker Durusoy. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Mauricio Manuelo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talleres's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauricio Manuelo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 王竞耀 was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Patricio Costa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 25 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Tab in the 28th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Aldo Gonza almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. Talleres's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jorge Martínez in the 41st minute. In the 45th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Illescas to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josef Tunberg in the 47th minute of play. The Venezuela players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Talleres were winning 1-2.

Talleres's Sergiu Bulencea was substituted for Lukita Modrić. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mauricio Manuelo made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Josef Tunberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 王竞耀 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the game, Mauricio Manuelo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Mauricio Manuelo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 76th minute, Mauricio Manuelo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jonathan Ferrant, passed just outside the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauricio Manuelo in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Mauricio Manuelo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 1-4. 86 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Manuelo came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Talleres's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jorge Martínez in the 87th minute. A well done corner resulted in Mauricio Manuelo drilling the ball in to score 1-5 behind Venezuela's goalkeeper. Aldo Gonza made in the 95th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alfredo Tab. The Venezuela supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Talleres's performance. The match ended with a win for Talleres.
