Rigoberto Mina charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rigoberto Mina the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 11 minutes into the match, Newcastle United's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Correa came free, but Mikolaj Jerzyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 12 minutes Newcastle United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the game, Thomas Vollmar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Jonathan Ferrant managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Newcastle United's Pankracy Malicki fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thomas Vollmar in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Thomas Vollmar sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Zé Paulo Zonta got a throw-in 29 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Adam Pacholewski. In the 31st minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thomas Vollmars short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 37th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the match, Thomas Vollmar notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Newcastle United getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Edgar Lampa hit a great ball. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Mikolaj Jerzyk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thomas Vollmar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pankracy Malicki in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zé Paulo Zonta was slow to take the kick. During this time Newcastle United's players had a chance to rest. Marian Erland was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 59 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Pacholewski came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikolaj Jerzyk having to interfere. Thomas Vollmar's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thomas Vollmar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd minute, Pankracy Malicki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Thomas Vollmar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newcastle United's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomas Vollmar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adam Pacholewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Vollmar in the 83rd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pankracy Malicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, Kajetan Kochniarczyk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kajetan Kochniarczyk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. 90 minutes into the match, Newcastle United's goalkeeper Mikolaj Jerzyk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. In the 93rd minute Pankracy Malicki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 94th minute. Pankracy Malicki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Newcastle United fully deserved thier win.
