Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arvo Joa in the 6th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Porvenir's Hector Santiago sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Hector Santiago made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Arvo Joa came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Colombia's Axel Montenegro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gomez Urrea. That made the score 1-1 after 20 minutes of play. Axel Montenegro took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gomez Urrea. Gomez Urrea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. De-la-Cruz Echague kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Abram Sarmiento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Gomez Urrea made a huge save. Ettore Ricci took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Hector Santiago sped through Colombia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. 40 minutes into the match, Porvenir's Arvo Joa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Hector Santiago came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Porvenir fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hector Santiago couldn't finish the play. In the 42ndth minute of the game Hector Santiago who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guerrero Onterino in the 43rd minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hector Santiago was the one to do the kick off. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Santiago in the 52nd minute of play. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Arvo Joa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 62nd minute of the match, Arvo Joa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pedro Manzanares saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Santino Seco charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santino Seco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 65 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Santino Seco. Camacho Molledo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pedro Manzanares firmly grabbed it by the left post. Urko Villaluenga made a great header on Porvenir's corner, it was just that Colombia's Pedro Manzanares managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Porvenir's Ovando Felix got a free kick in the 76th minute. Gomez Urrea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 79th minute of play forced Porvenir's goalkeeper Gomez Urrea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Manzanares was a little too slow when Arvo Joa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 2-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kevin Mastache during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Porvenir's Vera Barrutia was substituted for Ettore Ricci. In the 86th minute, Kevin Mastache hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hector Santiago in the 87th minute. Gomez Urrea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Mastache, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ignacio Mastache in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gomez Urrea saved Porvenir from getting behind. 94 minutes into the game, Porvenir's Hector Santiago nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Manzanares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4.
