A collision led to san isidro getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Ambrosio Viator hit a great ball. In the 24th minute of the match, Gösta Kihlberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lautaro Navarro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 30th minute of the match san isidro got a corner. Honduras's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gösta Kihlberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. san isidro's Gösta Kihlberg was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lautaro Navarro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 37 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Luca Espinar. After 38 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Milagros Cabal. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Generoso Sandaili managed to get in a good position for a shot. san isidro's supporters rose to their feet, but Generoso Sandaili was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute, san isidro's Gösta Kihlberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

After a rather tough play, san isidro's Salvador Marko got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Sebastian Villa took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elpidio Segio. Elpidio Segio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gösta Kihlberg in the 58th minute of play. Gösta Kihlberg scored 4-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 69th minute of play forced san isidro's goalkeeper Elpidio Segio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Salvador Marko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elpidio Segio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 83rd minute of the match. 86 minutes into the game, Cleto Camerino threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Christian Sancho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elpidio Segio prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
