In the 4th minute, Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pégasus F. C.'s Umberto Cunha didn't even have to move. After 6 played minutes Pégasus F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Leiva. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lu Xing Song got free with Julio Vera in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Lu Xing Song could shoot a difficult shot in the 11th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. Pégasus F. C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gilberto Soeiro in the 12th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Pégasus F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Umberto Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Umberto Cunha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Lu Xing Song sent off a good shot on target. Lorenzo Leiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Groll in the 24th minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lu Xing Song in the 25th minute of play. After 28 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. A collision led to Pégasus F. C. getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Lu Xing Song hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Gilberto Soeiro sent off a good shot on target. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gilberto Soeiro was slow to take the kick. During this time Pégasus F. C.'s players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Gilberto Soeiro almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. 35 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Soeiro came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lu Xing Song. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Lu Xing Song scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-1. In the 40th minute, Lu Xing Song hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Pégasus F. C.'s goalkeeper Umberto Cunha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Agustín Saelices struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Umberto Cunha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Lu Xing Song recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Umberto Cunha having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Umberto Cunha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Pégasus F. C.'s goalkeeper Umberto Cunha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Gilberto Soeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pégasus F. C. made a substitution. Samuca Tepedino replaced Lu Xing Song. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Umberto Cunha. That made the score 1-2 after 73 minutes of play. Samuca Tepedino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Qiao Ang Le in the 92nd minute of play. After 93 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. After 93 played minutes, Pégasus F. C.'s Xande Sharkin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julio Vera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pégasus F. C. reached it. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pégasus F. C. throughout the match.
