Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victor Piţurcă to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Victor Piţurcă ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. In the 95th minute Jaime Carioca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emerald's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
