Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Anier Guifre took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Charlie Monk. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Joaquin Sanchez sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Anier Guifre tried to sneak it across the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquin Sanchez came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Casado Ozollo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Leandro Quetara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erruki Turiela kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Rozarius Sanjurjo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Costa Rica's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Casado Ozollo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 32 played minutes Real Escualido FC got a freekick which was hit by Cresencio Lujarra. Rozarius Sanjurjo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Noboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquin Sanchez got free with Benito Sanz in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Real Escualido FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Erruki Turiela hit a great ball. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rozarius Sanjurjo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Puig in the 41st minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquin Sanchez came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Real Escualido FC's Anier Guifre nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Joaquin Sanchez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Joaquin Sanchez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casado Ozollo in the 57th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the game, Corneliu Cămărășan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Real Escualido FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charlie Monk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquin Sanchez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Real Escualido FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
