Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Yin Peng Yuan made a throw-in in the 13th minute of the game. Rikard Björkdahl made in the 14th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Ricardo Chepe. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 21st minute. The corner ended in Luz Tejedor almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hockeysnubbarnas BK's Algot Myr did a great save. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Inko Colillas sent off a good shot on target. Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Algot Myr having to interfere. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Algot Myr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Inko Colillas got free with Rolando Noboa in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 38 in the game by Inko Colillas from a close distance when the talented Rolando Noboa managed to make a qualified save. Peru's players were relieved. If Milagros Fraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Hockeysnubbarnas BK's Trey Cai was substituted for Ricardo Chepe. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Inko Colillas to make the kick off. Julian Murillo in the 52ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Algot Myr, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Trey Cai fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The throw-in from Yin Peng Yuan in the 89th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Peru's attentive Alonso Berganza managed to snatch the ball when Yin Peng Yuan made a throw-in in the 90th minute of the game. In the 93rd minute of the match Peru got a corner. Hockeysnubbarnas BK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eliseo Mina ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rafael Gallo made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Hockeysnubbarnas BK's Algot Myr managed to reach the ball for a save. 96 minutes into the match, Peru's Rafael Gallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Algot Myr narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match was over Peru could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hockeysnubbarnas BK throughout the match.
