In the 35th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Henley Utd's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Alberto Tafalla was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 40th minute, Luca Rouco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Rasmus Mårtensson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joakim Bergsten went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joel Gaona was the one to do the kick off. Facundo Cadaval recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvin Jonsson having to interfere. Richard Tunström's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richard Tunström helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Henley Utd's Richard Tunström got a free kick in the 60th minute. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Tunström in the 66th minute of the match. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Edvin Jonsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute Rasmus Mårtensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Facundo Cadaval hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. The corner ended in Hannes Kjellqvist almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. 74 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rasmus Mårtensson. 76 minutes into the game, Alberto Tafalla was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Henley Utd the free kick. After 77 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Tafalla. Edvin Jonsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 90th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Rouco to maneuver through the defense. Rasmus Mårtensson struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Henley Utd. Henley Utd's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
