If Zebastian Bergfeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 26 in the game by Zebastian Bergfeldt from a close distance when the talented Joaquin Gayoso managed to make a qualified save. Uruguay's players were relieved. Ralph Roeles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 35th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zebastian Bergfeldt got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Zebastian Bergfeldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42ndth minute of the game Zebastian Bergfeldt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jan de Vlieger was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 45th minute. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

55 minutes into the match, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Beldad came free, but Ralph Roeles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Uruguay were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Cazalla took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Jaime Cazalla got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ralph Roeles quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zebastian Bergfeldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After 66 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Gisbert. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Alberto Gisbert hit a great ball. When Jorge Sainz fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uruguay's protests and gave Jorge Sainz a yellow card for diving instead. Joaquin Gayoso went to the wrong direction when Emiliano Caiola was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Caiola in the 71st minute of play. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt van der Laan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 75 minutes of play, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Kurt van der Laan made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Kurt van der Laan in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Uruguay's goalie prevented a goal. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt van der Laan in the 87th minute of play. Francisco Seco came free with the goalkeeper in the 89th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ralph Roeles could save by the left post. In the 91st minute, Bruno Beldad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Emiliano Caiola broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 93 minutes, Kurt van der Laan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kurt van der Laan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Kurt van der Laan notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
