With an all-out effort, D10S's Thiago Pliego threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Federico Otsoko, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Federico Otsoko struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Thiago Pliego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for D10S. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 35th minute of play forced D10S's goalkeeper Enrique Suero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bola Delana kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, D10S's Esteban Pavon got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Enrique Suero made a huge save. In the 78th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Suero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enrique Suero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. In the 95th minute Mieszko Ciechocki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chile were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
