Peter Schmeichel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingvar Vallin in the 22nd minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ingvar Vallin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Guillermo Mariano threw the ball into play from the sideline. In the 79th minute of the match Hub Yap Para kap got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ahmet Göktuğ Masum ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Hub Yap Para kap's corner Ahmet Göktuğ Masum fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guillermo Mariano during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 81 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. Peter Schmeichel was a little too slow when Tomas Illescas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 3-2. Guillermo Mariano made in the 86th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jose Correa. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingvar Vallin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingvar Vallin, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 95 minutes into the match, Ingvar Vallin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ingvar Vallin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. When the referee ended the match the Hub Yap Para kap players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
