Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Axel Tasis got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute, Alan Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Flavio Peter successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Wagner Doro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the game, Xerxes Doro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th minute of the match Batalionul U23 Dorobanti got a corner. Costa Rica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mugur Bejan ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's corner Mugur Bejan fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Benito Sanz quite easily take care of the ball. The audience was convinced that Xerxes Doro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. In the 29th minute Xerxes Doro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Rubio's late challenge caught a Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Rubio helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xerxes Doro in the 33rd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 33 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. In the 39th minute Xerxes Doro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl-Michael Brask took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Karl-Michael Brask fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karl-Michael Brask to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Xerxes Doro lined in a short shot 0-4 behind a frustrated Benito Sanz. 57 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Stoian came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute, Rareș Hănescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karl-Michael Brask got free with Benito Sanz in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexander Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti made a substitution. Diego Tristan replaced Xerxes Doro. When Mugur Bejan came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Batalionul U23 Dorobanti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mugur Bejan couldn't finish the play. 76 minutes into the game, Marin Tufescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Marin Tufescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. If Marin Tufescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marin Tufescu in the 80th minute. The corner led Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Rareș Hănescu to fire away a dangerous shot which Benito Sanz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rareș Hănescu in the 85th minute of play. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wagner Doro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 88 minute of play. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Tristan in the 93rd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Marin Tufescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marin Tufescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7.
