Camron Rhodes struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leicester Lions. Grant Blacknell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felix Montenegro went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 10th minute. A hard shot by Camron Rhodes from long distance, 11 minutes into the match, got Julio Vera's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Denzil Howarth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Şükür Hagi struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leicester Lions. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Denzil Howarth during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd minute, Denzil Howarth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grant Blacknell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 minutes of play, Leicester Lions's Şükür Hagi made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leicester Lions's Grant Blacknell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of play. In the 40th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grant Blacknell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Leicester Lions defense, Luis Andino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Grant Blacknell. The Leicester Lions fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Grant Blacknell should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şükür Hagi in the 43rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Şükür Hagi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leicester Lions fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Grant Blacknell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Will Patton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şükür Hagi in the 57th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Grant Blacknell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Sancho's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Grant Blacknell firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 69th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience was convinced that Camron Rhodes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Camron Rhodes in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 76th minute Leicester Lions were awarded a corner. Camron Rhodes went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Leicester Lions's Camron Rhodes to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şükür Hagi in the 81st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute of the match Leicester Lions got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Camron Rhodes ran over to the corner to take the kick. 86 minutes into the game, Leicester Lions's Şükür Hagi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. The supporters of Leicester Lions booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute of the match Camron Rhodes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. Leicester Lions succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
