Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alonzo Che in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Sebastião Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 13th minute. The corner led to Ecuador's Luis Andino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Umbrella Corporation's Sebastião Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Cristian Sancho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sebastião Barbosa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alonzo Che, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antoni Bartoszek in the 32nd minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Lennon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alonzo Che in the 40th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Antoni Bartoszek came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Umbrella Corporation's Sebastião Barbosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Umbrella Corporation from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Sebastião Barbosa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Sebastião Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Umbrella Corporation's Antoni Bartoszek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 58th minute Umbrella Corporation were awarded a corner. Alfredo Curado went to the cornerflag to take it. Umbrella Corporation's John Lennon was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience was convinced that John Lennon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Primitivo Andino's late challenge caught a Umbrella Corporation's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Primitivo Andino helped the player get up and apologised. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoni Bartoszek in the 66th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabrício Fantini. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Umbrella Corporation's goalie prevented a goal. Antoni Bartoszek kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. The corner ended in Alfredo Curado almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Umbrella Corporation's goalkeeper Sebastião Barbosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antoni Bartoszek in the 93rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 95th minute of play forced Umbrella Corporation's goalkeeper Sebastião Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
