After 11 played minutes Haiti got a freekick which was hit by Gesner Philippe. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernso Constant in the 13th minute of play forced 新世纪俱乐部's goalkeeper 范斌邦 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute Jonathan Alphonse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 范斌邦 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, 林锋强 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind 新世纪俱乐部's goalkeeper 范斌邦, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Haiti's goalkeeper Noel Seide had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 许松冰. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonathan Alphonse made a kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Jean Marie Alcius in the 51st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by 新世纪俱乐部's 林锋强. 53 minutes into the match, 新世纪俱乐部's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Alphonse came free, but 范斌邦 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jonathan Alphonse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Alphonse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. 范斌邦 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 范斌邦 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernso Constant in the 57th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Jonathan Alphonse in the 94th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After a defensive mix-up in 新世纪俱乐部's zone, Ernso Constant stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 范斌邦 came out of the goal and Ernso Constant tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Haiti supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Haiti would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
