Jorginho Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 9th minute of the match. In the 15th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Portuguesa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Portuguesa's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 18th minute of play forced Portuguesa's goalkeeper Jorginho Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alberto Tafalla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorginho Vaz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Portuguesa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Jorginho Vaz came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Facundo Cadaval. But to his dismay, Facundo Cadaval quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jorginho Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 25th minute of the match. Jorginho Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorginho Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 31st minute of play. After 32 minutes Portuguesa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. Jorginho Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 34th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorginho Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the game, Felix Luque was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mexico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portuguesa the free kick. In the 40th minute, Felix Luque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 任浩默 took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dante Lacasa. Mexico's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. In the 48th minute, Alberto Tafalla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorginho Vaz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

A collision led to Portuguesa getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Aldair Weidt hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, Portuguesa's goalkeeper Jorginho Vaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joel Gaona. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Jorginho Vaz made a huge save. In the 58th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Portuguesa's Jorginho Vaz did a great save. With a little luck, Portuguesa's Jorginho Vaz got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Facundo Cadaval's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jorginho Vaz firmly grabbed it by the left post. Facundo Cadaval might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorginho Vaz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Facundo Cadaval ran back to his position shaking his head. Jorginho Vaz made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Facundo Cadaval sent off a good shot on target. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Macedo in the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Facundo Cadaval sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, 任浩默 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and 任浩默 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Portuguesa made a substitution. Miguel de Sena replaced Holger Zachrisson. After 91 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Felix Luque. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Portuguesa's goalkeeper Jorginho Vaz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 94th minute after Portuguesa's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. After 94 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Facundo Cadaval. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
