A collision led to Cable a Tierra getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Vitoldas Bilota hit a great ball. After 17 played minutes Cable a Tierra got a freekick which was hit by Saverio Mercurio. Cable a Tierra's Leonides Telesforo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Cable a Tierra from getting a goal against them. Leonides Telesforo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 24th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Kevin Mastache managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colombia's supporters rose to their feet, but Kevin Mastache was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonides Telesforo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Leonides Telesforo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Montenegro in the 32nd minute. Abram Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonides Telesforo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santino Seco in the 37th minute of play. After 39 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Tafalla. Gavino Egoi hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Narciso Bertassi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Bertassi in the 54th minute of play. In the 61stth minute of the game Abram Sarmiento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cable a Tierra's Leonides Telesforo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Fermin Montiel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Narciso Bertassi went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Cable a Tierra defense, Abram Sarmiento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonides Telesforo. The Cable a Tierra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonides Telesforo should have stopped the shot. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Cable a Tierra's Claudio Echeverri was substituted for Gavino Egoi. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Mastache in the 80th minute of play forced Cable a Tierra's goalkeeper Leonides Telesforo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonides Telesforo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Secada, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 82nd minute, Abram Secada ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonides Telesforo was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 86th minute of the match Cable a Tierra got a corner. Colombia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fermin Montiel ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Colombia's goalie and right to Saverio Mercurio. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Colombia's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 92nd minute Ignacio Mastache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Telesforo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abram Secada took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonides Telesforo. Leonides Telesforo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cable a Tierra players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Colombia.
