Gavino Egoi scored 0-2 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thiago Pliego, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orlando Casaus got free with Leonides Telesforo in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Narciso Bertassi came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Cable a Tierra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narciso Bertassi couldn't finish the play. Vitoldas Bilota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th match minute, Cable a Tierra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saverio Mercurio to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 22nd minute of play forced Cable a Tierra's goalkeeper Leonides Telesforo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Leonides Telesforo made a huge save. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavino Egoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. If Gavino Egoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gavino Egoi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Betão Prestes kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Bertassi came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Leonides Telesforo made a huge save. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Bertassi in the 44th minute of play. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Leonides Telesforo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mariano Lacasa made a kick off. Leonides Telesforo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Casaus in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute of the match Chile got a corner. Cable a Tierra's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Lacasa ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Chile's corner Orlando Casaus fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Leonides Telesforo quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orlando Casaus in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonides Telesforo saved Cable a Tierra from getting behind. In the 54th minute Chile were awarded a corner. Mariano Lacasa went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Chile's corner Francisco Carballar fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Leonides Telesforo quite easily take care of the ball. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 58th minute of play forced Cable a Tierra's goalkeeper Leonides Telesforo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonides Telesforo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Casaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Bertassi came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th match minute, Cable a Tierra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulão Laguna to maneuver through the defense. Cable a Tierra's Claudio Echeverri was substituted for Gavino Egoi. After 76 played minutes Cable a Tierra got a freekick which was hit by Paulão Laguna. Leonides Telesforo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Narciso Bertassi might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thiago Pliego. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Narciso Bertassi ran back to his position shaking his head. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 85 played minutes Cable a Tierra got a freekick which was hit by Betão Prestes. Mariano Lacasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Leonides Telesforo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlando Casaus kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The Cable a Tierra players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
