Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Santo Marcos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santo Marcos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after BEITAR JERUSALEM FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig to fire away a dangerous shot which Santo Marcos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute of play forced BEITAR JERUSALEM FC's goalkeeper Santo Marcos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Marcos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santo Marcos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Santo Marcos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lawerence Marion was the one to do the kick off. Felix Beetens scored 2-2 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Santo Marcos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 57th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Santo Marcos in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Santo Marcos made a huge save. In the 67th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. BEITAR JERUSALEM FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Santo Marcos quite easily take care of the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lawerence Marion in the 70th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Santo Marcos however easily saved by the left post. In the 73rd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. BEITAR JERUSALEM FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Santo Marcos quite easily take care of the ball. In the 76thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BEITAR JERUSALEM FC's Santo Marcos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Santo Marcos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 79th minute. In the 82nd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Marcos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the match, BEITAR JERUSALEM FC's goalkeeper Santo Marcos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Santo Marcos in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 88 played minutes BEITAR JERUSALEM FC got a freekick which was hit by Elias Lima. After a rather tough play, BEITAR JERUSALEM FC's 陶谦凌 got a free kick in the 89th minute. BEITAR JERUSALEM FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
