Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Daniel Zorita kicked off to start the match. After 4 minutes, Felix Montes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Cable a Tierra players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Felix Montes hit a great ball. Leonides Telesforo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of play. Leonides Telesforo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of the match. Narciso Bertassi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Cable a Tierra's Vitoldas Bilota got a free kick in the 31st minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavino Egoi in the 33rd minute of play. Cable a Tierra were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Betão Prestes took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Ecuador's goalie and right to Gavino Egoi. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Ecuador's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play forced Cable a Tierra's goalkeeper Leonides Telesforo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Narciso Bertassi took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Narciso Bertassi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Bertassi in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Felix Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Cable a Tierra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitoldas Bilota didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Claudio Echeverri notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Echeverri, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Leonides Telesforo in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Leonides Telesforo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Cable a Tierra's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Leonides Telesforo quite easily take care of the ball. Arrigo Corvo kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Cable a Tierra's goalkeeper Leonides Telesforo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. A collision led to Cable a Tierra getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Arrigo Corvo hit a great ball. 92 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Gavino Egoi fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cable a Tierra's protests and gave Gavino Egoi a yellow card for diving instead. Gavino Egoi hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, Cable a Tierra could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
