An unexpectedly hard shot by Ľubomír Demský in the 43rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Anthon Finman could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Netto having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anthon Finman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ľubomír Demský in the 52nd minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ľubomír Demský in the 64th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Mané Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 97th minute, which Mané Netto however easily saved by the left post. Hising Island FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
