The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Punk Fiction's Amado Jordão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 3rd minute of play. Amado Jordão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gilberto Nayely had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marco Day made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilberto Nayely in the 8th minute. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Gilberto Nayely sped through USA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marco Day. Amado Jordão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Monty Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Punk Fiction getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Mario Egoitz hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute of the match Cassius Byrne sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amado Jordão skillfully saved the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Cassius Byrne cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Amado Jordão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marco Day made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilberto Nayely in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 42nd minute of play forced Punk Fiction's goalkeeper Amado Jordão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amado Jordão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Cassius Byrne made the kick off in the second half. After 64 minutes of play, Punk Fiction's Gilberto Nayely made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marco Day was left in no man's land by his defense there! Amado Jordão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 67th minute of play. Gustavo López hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. After a rather tough play, Punk Fiction's Gustavo López got a free kick in the 70th minute. Amado Jordão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sam Campbell in the 73rd minute. Punk Fiction's Edelmiro Olivar managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jacob May in the 80 minute of the game. Marco Baker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Amado Jordão made a huge save. Amado Jordão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sam Campbell in the 86th minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Punk Fiction were victorious despite being under pressure from USA for much of the match.
