In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 8th minute of play forced FV Wienerwald's goalkeeper Marcel Mallinger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anfilogino Alfonsi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcel Mallinger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. FV Wienerwald's Marcel Mallinger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save FV Wienerwald from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hamilton Carvalhal in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Day saved USA from getting behind. After 26 played minutes FV Wienerwald got a freekick which was hit by Ralf Szüczs. Hamilton Carvalhal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FV Wienerwald were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after USA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ralf Szüczs took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Ralf Szüczs got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marco Day quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Marcel Mallinger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 40th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anfilogino Alfonsi during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FV Wienerwald getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Anfilogino Alfonsi hit a great ball. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamilton Carvalhal in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anfilogino Alfonsi to make the kick off. Ralf Szüczs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcel Mallinger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khalid Parry, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. A collision led to FV Wienerwald getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Klaus Adolphi hit a great ball. When Khalid Parry came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the USA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Khalid Parry couldn't finish the play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
