Gianluigi Buffon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. After 18th play minutes Marcos Rodrigues shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Lautaro Navarro and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 24th minute Marcos Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Honduras from getting a goal against them. The throw-in from Tiago Gabriel Brodel in the 31st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honduras's Esteban Carvallo. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Apocalipse FC's Marcos Rodrigues in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Honduras's goalie prevented a goal. The Honduras fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Honduras's Edmundo Espiga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 40th match minute, Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Espinar to maneuver through the defense. Gianluigi Buffon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 44th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcos Rodrigues to strike the kick off in the second half. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Rodrigues in the 55th minute of play. Gianluigi Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruy Tinoco in the 58th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Rodrigues in the 60th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Apocalipse FC's Marcos Rodrigues sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 73rd minute of play forced Apocalipse FC's goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Honduras! Apocalipse FC's Gianluigi Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 79th minute of play. Apocalipse FC's Sérgio Machado suffered a sore thigh after 94 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 94 minutes, Sebastian Villa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Honduras and the Apocalipse FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Apocalipse FC's Alfredão Barral was substituted for Sérgio Machado. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a free kick in the 96th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Apocalipse FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Honduras had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
