After 13 minutes of play, Porvir FC's Fábio Félix made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Manzanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! 18 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Augusto Soeiro. Porvir FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Axel Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Félix in the 33rd minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of Colombia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Porvir FC:s goal. In the 46th match minute, Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Garrido to maneuver through the defense. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gino Moreira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Pedro Manzanares successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Abram Sarmiento struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. João Augusto Soeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Porvir FC's Claes Bjurström was substituted for Fábio Félix. In the 74th minute, Colombia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rodrigo Quirino fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. João Augusto Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Mastache in the 75th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Colombia's Ignacio Mastache sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Augusto Soeiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Porvir FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Augusto Soeiro should have stopped the shot. In the 94th minute of the game Porvir FC's Claes Bjurström made a superb shot at goal which Pedro Manzanares with some effort managed to grab by the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gino Moreira got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
