In the 4th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iker Tafalla to maneuver through the defense. Gürel Kamver hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute Özdemir Kutlualp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paraguay's Jaime Pardo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hakan Derim in the 15 minute of the game. Primitivo Escribano kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özdemir Kutlualp in the 20th minute of play. Hector Covarrubias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ahmet Hayri Tüzeman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Özdemir Kutlualp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Nores was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 28 minutes in the game Hızır Türkoğlu did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Yalçın Zeyni. ST Lions FC's Hızır Türkoğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 33 played minutes ST Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Gürel Kamver. After 34 minutes, Gürel Kamver mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ST Lions FC and the Paraguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th minute, Gürel Kamver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Özdemir Kutlualp in the 42nd minute of play. Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Özdemir Kutlualp, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Özdemir Kutlualp managed to get in a good position for a shot. ST Lions FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Özdemir Kutlualp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Nores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Pardo to strike the kick off in the second half. Ahmet Hayri Tüzeman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Pardo in the 57th minute of the match. Juan Diego Tenorio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 65 played minutes ST Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Arif Cengiz Akel. 68 minutes into the match, ST Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Covarrubias came free, but Ahmet Hayri Tüzeman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Paraguay's Jacobo Nores got control of the ball when Hakan Derim tried to sneak it across the goal line. The throw-in from Hızır Türkoğlu in the 75th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Paraguay's Raul Venegas. Jacobo Nores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hakan Derim in the 81st minute of the match. Ahmet Hayri Tüzeman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Pardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Hızır Türkoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jacobo Nores tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Özdemir Kutlualp in the 90th minute of play. Paraguay's Xavier Zoido quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hızır Türkoğlu, made in the 91st minute of the game. A collision led to ST Lions FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Yalçın Zeyni hit a great ball.
