The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ionuț Contra's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karl-Michael Brask's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lautaro Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Batalionul U23 Dorobanti had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
