Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jaime Pardo started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Araguaia Sport Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvaldo Donatello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paraguay's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Edvaldo Donatello scored to the left of an out of position Jacobo Nores, making the score, 2-0. José Carlos Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Pardo in the 26th minute of the match. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Hector Covarrubias advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-1 in the 27th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Pardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Carlos Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Araguaia Sport Clube's Edvaldo Donatello got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Benjamin das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Hector Covarrubias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Carlos Azevedo having to make a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Jaime Pardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but José Carlos Azevedo made a huge save. 56 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Luan Botelho came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Ademir Lira in the 60th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Paraguay's Xavier Zoido. Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paraguay's attentive Jaime Pardo managed to snatch the ball when Gualter Vander made a throw-in in the 65th minute of the game. Jaime Pardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Carlos Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaime Pardo ran back to his position shaking his head. Primitivo Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. José Carlos Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Hector Covarrubias kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving José Carlos Azevedo. That made the score 2-2 in the 73 minute of play. After 80 minutes of play, Araguaia Sport Clube's Ademir Lira made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jacobo Nores was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 83rd minute Ademir Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Luan Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Edvaldo Donatello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Araguaia Sport Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. Luan Botelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademir Lira in the 95th minute of play.
